After hearing for years that everyone else out there was going to be making
fiberglass hoods for the 406/416 Mog we held out. Now since no one has put
them out in the market. We under took the project and have them ready to go. Well ready to ship by 2-20-2010.
These hoods are
dual layered fiberglass. This means that there are two molds made, one of
the inside and one of the outside. Then two parts are made, and joined together.
The result is a hood that is more rigid then the OEM steel hood. Don't be
fooled with single sided parts, you will be disappointed.
The amount of time
that was put into the parts is amazing. Weeks were spent on just preparing
the perfect hood to make the mold from. Followed by weeks of mold work and
reworking. The result, a hood that is stronger, lighter, and straighter, then
the factory!
Also the gel coat
that has been applied is a primer/sealer gel coat. This will save you time
and money when you paint the hood. "Scuff and Shoot"
Emblem and latch
holes were built right into the molds. This allows you to perfectly mount
your emblems. Or if you are looking for a more custom job, the indents can
be blended with very little work.
